Today Tj comes to show me a project he has been working on after church. I was doing dishes and getting laundry done some of the little tasks that seam to take a lot of my time these days. While he was busy cutting out BYU fabric to make an outfit for his brand new Leopard stuffed animal. He ask me where is the stappler and begins to show me how he has cut 4 holes for the legs to fit through but just needs to make it all stay together. I could see how he had spent so much time cutting out a outfit, and if I just took a few minutes and sewed it together it could look great. I am so glad I got to spend some one on one time with my sweet little boy. In life I get so caught up in all the task that need to be done that I don't always take the time to play with my children. And today it was so nice to feel the sweet and tender love of my son. I really needed it.

Connor had a Happy 8th birthday. We had a fun Party with a bunch of his friends. We played lazar tag and all the boys were so cute I love the energy. Halloween is a great day to have a birthday lots of parties and everyone give you candy.

At the end of the day our Birthday Boy got sick with a fever and all he wanted to do is watch Harry Potter.
so he did.

Shaylee is 12 years old. She is now entering the young Women's Program in our church. We had a fun Suprise Birthday party for her. With a bunch of her girl friends She was so shocked.

This is the first day of the 2011-2012 school year.
The Rex Kids are all going to one school this is the only time all the kids are at Eaglecrest Elementary together.

Shaylee is in the 6th grade. She is so excited to the oldest kids in the school

My little girl is growing up she is on her way to Summer Camp with some good friends. She will be gone 5 days to Camp Clear Creek. I know she will have a good time. When I dropped her off at my Elementary School to Catch the bus a flood of memories came to me. I remember the fun time I had at Clear Creek and All the good times in Elementary school. This is her first time on her own. It has been hard on me I am Praying every day that she is safe and having fun. We will miss her but can't wait to hear about all her adventures.

I love to spend time with my family. This holiday break my loving husband book the Marriot hotel in our town for me and my sisters to take our kids and stay one night. So we decided to take the kids skiing/ snowboarding to Sundance. This were we all learned to ski we had lunch in the cabin at the top of the mountain where our big brother used to work. Talk about a trip down memory lane. It was so fun look back on all the fun times we had as kids. Now we are in a new chapter and making memories with our kids.

We are so glad Connor was our Halloween baby. He is now a little prankster, he knows how to make everyone laugh and smile. I love him and feel so luck to be his mother. Love ya my little pumpkin.

And now he is like a fish. He loves to swim and really good at it.

Bio Emily Austin and information on the 5K fundraiser

Emily was first diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia -- a particularly aggressive strain – in the Fall of 1998 when she was five years old. She underwent several bouts of chemotherapy and radiation, to beat the cancer into remission. It has returned threetimes, when Emily was nine, thirteen, and again at sixteen. In December of 2008 at age thirteen, Emily underwent a bone marrowtransplant, which is an aggressive and risky treatment used to fight the cancer. She and her family were hopeful that this would rid her body of the cancer.

This past April at age sixteen, Emily was having trouble with her eyes. After testing and analysis, her doctors determined that the cancer was indeed back. So with the support from her family and friends she is once again engaged in a battle with this aggressive disease.

Emily’s Motto is “Always look at the positive”, So when her beautiful brown hair fell out during chemotherapy, Emily focused on something else.

"I always got to wear hats in school when nobody else did," she said with a smile.

With all the complications, and the process of battling this disease it has left the family with expenses that continue to grow. "Every time we go to the hospital, there are about five different people that we have to pay bills to," her Father Mark said. Health insurance covers much of the costs, but there are still multiple co-pays each time and medications that cost hundreds of dollars a month, the time away from work, the travel expenses associated with driving back and forth to and from Salt lake, the baby- sitters and many other expenses that are not covered by insurance. A family friend and neighbor, Dr. Steve Berry has said, “Emily's case could easily run up costs of $1 million or more. Leukemia is extremely expensive to fight, and she's had it four times." This is whatthis charity event is about, trying to help them out with these expenses.

Emily has inspired many with her determination and positive attitude. Her younger cousins Shaylee Rex (age eleven) came up with the idea to have a fundraiser for Emily. Shaylee has watched Emily fight this disease and has seen the many miracles that have happened to make it so Emily could be part of her life. She loves her cousin dearly and looks up to her. Shaylee cried the day she found out that the bone marrow transplant did not get rid of the cancer. That week she put a note on the back of her bedroom door that said “Raise $500 to help Emily.” Shaylee persistently asked her mother to help her with this. With some brain storming, we came up with the idea of a 5K run/walk to help raise money and awareness for Emily’s battle with leukemia. We approached the Orem High school student Council to see if they would help us with this event The High school was very excited to help support this event as many of the students know Emily well and have been a support to her over her years fighting leukemia.

Our hope is to help raise funds and awareness so that Emily can receive the best medical help possible, which she needs and to help support her family with the financial stresses associated with it so that they can just stay focused on taking care of Emily.

Each Summer We like to spend Time with Grandpa Austin riding horses. We took the scouts over and the kids all got turns going around the pasture. It was a fun time but Braden and Shaylee prefer when Grandpa takes them up on mountain rides. It is so fun to be able to have this special bond with our grandpa.

This spring we noticed Connor was closing one eye to do his school work. So we went and got his eyes checked and he has one that dose not focus very well and was seeing double. Well I felt pretty bad so we got glasses ordered right away. And when we piked them up he keep saying"mom do you see that". We have a much Happier Boy now that he can see.

TJ was such a sweet baby. He had rough start he got bacterial meningitis when he was only 10 days old. We learned from that time that this little boy was a fighter. With the help of the Dr. He was able to make a full recovery. And so today we have a feisty 5 year old who knows what he wants and lets us know his plan. It is a joy to have TJ be the youngest in our family and I feel lucky to be his mother. Happy Fifth Birthday snuggle Bear.

The Sea Dogs had a great season Braden Rex one of the star players on the team hit the ball real well and made some super important plays. He can't Wait till next season Team Express in the coach pitch League had a marvelous season Connor Rex hit the ball the farthest of any player on his team. and TJ Rex the rookie was really focused and hit the ball at every at bat this season.

The Orange Tigers had a great soccer season. Connor Rex is a the best defensive player on his team. He can get the ball away from just about anyone. He and his buddy Calvin made alot of great plays together this year, Coach Summers brings the best out in all his players.

What a fun team to be on!!!The Sharks are an aggressive little soccer team coached by Matt Rex ans Zack Fossum. They had a very Successful season. TJ Rex is an aggressive little player he made lots of goals and had a fun season.

Easter trip to Vegas

We spent Easter in sunny Las Vegas it was a long winter in Utah. So we headed south the find some warmer weather.

Braden's First Pinewood Derby

This was such a fun event. I being the youngest in my family. I Have never been apart of scouting but It was so great to watch Matt and the boys work on the cars. YES I did say car's Braden is the only one that is old enough to be in the Pinewood Derby but the two younger boys wanted car's too so Matt helped make 3 Derby cars this year. At the end of the races we raced the 3 Rex Cars Braden's Came in 1st, Connor 2nd, and Tj 3rd. So even if Braden didn't win the 23rd ward Derby this year he is the raining Rex Champion.Braden Car Was named Python Connor just wanted Flames on his CarTJ loved his Car it had Flames and Lighting

Mommy Moments

So being a mother is not always cakes and parties. I love being a mother but sometime it can be very draining, I remember when I was a new mother I held my little girl in my arms and I was excited but a bit nerves. The first time in the hospital I tried to change her cloths I was afraid I might break her. My mother in law saved the day and taught me how to dress this new little life I was now responsible for.

I remember when we first brought her home she cried a lot. I spent many night up with my new little baby rocking her and cuddling her so she could sleep . At this time in my life I thought If we can just make it through the baby and toddler years. I will get good rest again and, this parenting thing wont be so hard she will be able to do many thing for her self. Well I was wrong being a mother I don't think is ever going to get easy. It is something that the lord has given me a life time to learn. I know I have lots of learning still to do.

Today I had 8 little scouts over all of them Braden age we were doing a mothers day craft. I asked Shaylee if I could use some of her markers and coloring supplies. She said yes at first but then changed her mind. She did not wont the boys using her special scented markers. I told her she was being a brat and need to share. She stormed up to her room . I thought I will talk to her when the boys all leave. But I did not know that she was up stairs packing. She had decided to run away. So the door bell rang and this it what I found, a flower she had made for me and a note saying

"Mom I love you and didn't know you felt that way. By for now
love your only daughter:( "

I hoped she wouldn't go far but I had all these little scouts at my home and didn't have time to go run after her. But as time went by I began feeling very nerves what if she goes far. She took my big mountain bike, she could travel pretty fast. She is all alone someone could take her and we may never find her. I love her so much and could not live with my self if something happened to her. So as I was getting ready to go look for her she pulled her bike in to the garage. I was so glad to see her but also upset at her behavior. I gave her a big hug and told her i love her and to never do that again. Their has been a punishment of no friends for the weekend. I don't know if this will make her realize that running away will not solve any problems.

I know I could have probably handled the situation better but I still have learning to do. I know I am not going to be able to raise my children with out help from heavenly father. I need his guidance every day. And I think the teen years will once again have many restless night worrying about the well being of my kids. I hope and pray that I can raise children that Respect them selves and others. I pray they will always be kind to people around them.
So i wish every day was about cakes and parties, but in reality their will be lots of bumps on this road we call life and some times it rain and we will get muddy. Thank heavens their is always tomorrow. I hope the sun will shine.

Science Fair

So This year Shaylee and Braden entered their school science fair. They wanted to learn about germs.

Shaylee found out that Colgate toothpast kills the most germs and Listerine mouth wash works really well too. She took 2nd place over all grades K- 5th this was great but Braden got a 1st place ribbon. Braden took 1st place in the 2nd grade for finding wear the most germs are in our house the light switch going out to the garage grew the most germs. yuk!! I have since cleaned all the light switches around the house.

So I was very pleased with how they both did. But shaylee was not so happy she did not care that she placed higher than her brother she just wanted a blue ribbon like him.

Basketball

The most Magical Christmas

This was one of the most magical Christmas mornings I remember. Santa brought our family a sweet little puppy. The kids came down stairs and the dog ran right to them. Shaylee said come hear TWIX and he went to her, the name has stuck. Braden is the one who asked Santa for a puppy it was the sweetest thing. He would not tell me what he wanted, he waited till he could sit on Santa's lap and then with a grin on his face he said Santa I would really like a puppy. The big man came through. We think our Puppy is so cute and he has such a good personality he seams to fit in the family just fine.

We have been going to the Festival of Trees for the last 10 years, I take the kids it is a fun event for us . This year Shaylee preformed with her dance group Show case USA. She did a great job and it was so fun to have some of our cousins there with us.

Connor is the bravest 6 year old I know. He had a Scales and Tells birthday party and he loved every minute. He was born on Halloween and loves reptiles which is kind of fitting. It was a great party. I had to over come my fears when he said mom you should hold a snake.

Ski Diving

I have wanted to sky Dive since I was 16. So while we were on vacation Matt and I got the chance to fulfill one of my dreams. We sky Dived in Hawaii it was such a rush. We are all strapped in and ready to Load the plane.We took of and the Plane circled and went up and up and up. Then really fast they opened the door and said this is going to be a good jump lets go and we jumped. The wind was like nothing I have ever felt before it was so surreal and I t was awesome i touched the clouds as I fell through them.The Kids waited for us with our friends right by the landing strip.Just after falling through the clouds we puled the chute and the kids spotted us. As I floated down I saw a turtle on the beach and the beautiful Island below.This is Matt coming in for his landing.And this is me I think we both really happy to be on the ground safely. I don't think our kids have ever been this excited to see us.

I am so glad that I got the chance to do this. It was truly a dream come true.

We Just surprised the kids with a trip to Hawaii. It was so much fun. It was really hard to keep the secret for 6 months. It was so fun to see the reaction they had. Shaylee jumped up and down in excitement. The Boys were pretty excited to. After we told them, off we went to catch our flight. I had secretly packed all the bags and we were all ready to go. It was so funny listing to Braden say someone has stolen my pajamas. He looked everywhere for the set he wanted to wear the night before we left. I was Laughing because I knew they were packed.

We arrived on Oahu late that night. This is the kids after all day traveling The First day on the island we played on the beach. We went to wal -mart and got biggie boards and snorkel gear for the kids they had a blast. It got cloudy and started to rain in the afternoon. Matt thought it would be a good Idea to go on a submarine ride. This was really cool but I should have just sent Matt and the kids. Because I have a weak stomach and did not feel so good. I guess being in the Navy is out for me. JK The boys thought it was cool to see the surfers waiting for the right wave.This is the family on the boat ride to get on the submarine. Waikiki Beach is behind us.

This was a ten day trip so I have alot of photos so their will be a few more post.

Shaylee Birthday!!!

I can not believe my Little girl is growing up so fast. It seams Like just yesterday I was learning how to take care of a new born and now I have a 10 year old. Where has all the time gone.

Shaylee is tuning in to a beautiful young lady. She is very thoughtful of others feelings and is kind to people around her. We are so lucky to have such a responsible daughter, from the time she started school she has set her alarm and will get up on her own. I will go in to her room and their she is sitting on her bed ready for school. She works really hard to do well in school and gives it her best effort all the time. Shaylee was also blessed with determination, from the time she was Little. When she was young this was some time hard to deal with, when she decided she could do it her self their was no helping her I clean up many messes that were a result of her being independent. One time she decided to pour her own glass of milk I came to find her sitting in a gallon milk with a rag and a cup and her response was"mommy I sorry I am cleaning up the mess." What a sweet Little girl she is always wanting us to be pleased with her. She is so helpful with her younger brothers and they look up to her. It is so fun to watch her grow up.

Holy Cow I have a 4th grader!!!

Shaylee was so excited for the first day of school, she is really social and ready to catch up with all her friends.

Braden Is in 2nd Grade.

I asked him how the first day of school was and he said "Great " he is just so easy going.

Connor was so ready to go to the big school with his older brother and sister. He is pretty tough kid and very independent. So I thought this would be the first year I wont cry when I send my child to kindergarten. But as I went to leave him in Mrs. Simpson's class room tears welt up in his eye's. I held my cool till I got out side and then I started to cry. So much for the Idea of no tears it is just hard to let your little one go. TJ is in Pre. school. He walked in so cool and told his teacher "my name is Tyler" and it is but we have never called him that. He has always been know as TJ but if he wants to be called Tyler I guess we will call him that. but this will take some adjusting.

Star Vally Wyoming / Jackson Hole trip

This was the last hurrah of summer break. The first night we where at the cabin their was a meteor shower it was spectacular. shooting stars everywhere and you could see mars through the binoculars. Some of the fun things we did were ride four wheelers, ride the gondola up the Tetons, swim at the pool, go to the bar-J wranglers chuck wagon dinner,Play at a park and get faces painted at the fair. It was so fun to spend this time with family.

Johnson's, Summer's, Maser's and Rex's

We Got together up in Midway with the Mom's and Kids. It was so fun to see all our great friends. The kids had fun playing at the cabin and walking around the homestead climbing to the top of the crater.

What a good looking bunch of kids. My sister's and I decided to take the kids on a ride up past Bridalveil falls. It was so much fun we got a lot of looks between the 3 adults their were 9 kids. Ages 16, 9,9,8,7,7,5,5,and 4 this was a lot of Little kids, who all road their bike about 3 miles to the park and we ate lunch and Played. So fun I would do it again in a hart beat. All in a single file line

My baby is growing up he is 4 years old. It seams like just yesterday he was our new Little baby TJ, so soft and very cuddly. TJ has been such a blessing to our family he loves to play catch and watch ball games with his dad. He is 100% boy. He spent the early part of the Summer collecting potato bugs and worms. He loves to play out side in the sand box, loves to ride his bike, like to swim in his Little pool.

We have two bunnies Lucky and Fluffy they are 2 years old. The kids have lots of fun playing with them. But the reason for getting the bunnies was to teach the kids some responsibility. Take me out to the ball game has been the theme for our family this month. With Braden and Connor both playing soccer and Baseball we have spent many days at ball fields. It has been so fun to watch them this year. They have improved so much.

Braden is loving baseball he is hitting the ball hard and loves to run the bases.

TJ is counting down till he can play on a team. He can already catch the ball and hit it when dad pitches to him. If mom tries to he says "you don't through as good as dad" and he is right.

Matt is the coach of Connor Coach pitch team and they are having a good time playing. Connor is our little trash talker he says things like, "you know you ain't gonna get a hit" and " your team sucks" Matt is trying really hard to teach him about sportsmanship. But we are all getting some laughs during the process.

Soccer season is over Connor was a defensive specialist he blocked alot of goals and also got a few himself.

Braden had a great year with soccer he has mastered the kick slide. It is so fun to watch him, he has little celebrations on the field. His team was undefeated

This was the first spring like day we have had this year, the kids decides to go play ball in the yard. They were all getting along Shaylee was the pitcher controlling the game something she dose very well. I can't believe how my kids are growing up. It is so great to see the fun they can have together.

TJ loves baseball and is the only one who would sit on dads lap and watch the long games on TV. He can throw the ball far and straight for a 3 year, I guess baseball is in his blood.

Cancun

We just returned from Cancun Mexico. It was a fun trip we were Abel to spend time laying by the pool and enjoying the sun. I love spending time together with out the distraction of the kids, it makes me realize how really in love we are.

We went on Helmen tours to Tulum and Chitzan-itzea it was cool to see the Mayan ruins.

Matts Brithday

Matt turned 34 last month and we had a small family party for him. The kids had fun getting things ready. It was an eventful day we spent the afternoon cooking lasagna for him as that is his favorite meal. I had the kids at the table waiting for him to come home and I got a call from him telling me his car was broken down on the side of the freeway. So we hoped in the car to go help him, we sat for about 1 1/2 hr waiting for a tow truck. So things don't always go as planed but we had cake and Ice cream when we got home.

I am so grateful to have Matt as my husband I love him more everyday. He is the best father and the most loving husband he is always thinking of ways to make our home a happy place.

Draper Temple open house

The kids and I went to the draper temple open house with grandma Pam on her. I was hoping that my kids could have a good experience and be reverent. For my two younger boys this is really hard, so I prayed that morning that I would be able to help them be reverent in the Temple. Well this is one of those times when the lord answered my prayer. As we waited to go through the temple they had us watch a movie about the temple and Connor was really restless and again I said a Little prayer. As we started our tour though the temple. We started were the baptismal font was and as we walked up to it I heard my Shaylee say grandpa I looked up and their was my Mom and Dad. A true answer to my prayers they walked though the tour with us and were abel to help me keep the kids reverent. I love the temple and am gratefully to live so close to 5 temples. I am grateful for little daily miracles.

Skiing with the Whole Family

TJ was pretty sad he did not get to come skiing with the family. So he pulled at Dad's heart strings and asked to call daddy at work. And when dad picked up the phone He in a sad voice said "daddy I want to go Skiing with you." Well I am hear to tell you Matt has caught the ski bug because Just a month ago he would have said when you are older but he said " OK let's go this weekend" so as a family we went up to Alta free after 3 program and had a great time. TJ was so cute he did a Little on his own but ski boots are heavy for a 3 year old. Connor was able to go down by him self by the end of the day. Shaylee and Braden both say that dad is funner to ski with because he goes into the tree's and takes them in to the puff (Powder). I am glad that we can have fun as a family skiing.

Skiing

I have always been the one to take the kids skiing I taught Shaylee when she was 6 and took Braden earlier this year. Well Matt decided to come with us because Connor really wanted to come and I could not take 4 people on a triple chair by myself. So last Monday the kids were out of school So we took the older 3 skiing. What a fun time we had. Braden acted like he was an old pro he had only been one time before with me. So I thought we had a little work to do but he got off the chair lift and skied down the hill all by him self turning and very in control. Connor and I were left in the dust of Braden and Shaylee. So Matt stayed up with them being surprised how good they both were. On the chair lift ride up Matt asked "how many times has mom brought you two? Braden Replied "5 times" Matt new that was not true but Braden ment 5 times down the hill. Connor Likes to go fast as long as you are right behind him with your arms holding him.

Braden and Shaylee love to go in to the trees and hit the jumps. It is so fun to watch them get air. You can see the excitement when they tell you all about it. We also took Connor in the trees and through the jumps he thought that was aw sum with dad right behind him. Hear are some pitchers of Connor First day Skiing.

Braden is on of the sweetest boys he is kind to everyone, he is always willing to let others play with him he will share his things with his brothers even when he knows the risk that they might break them. But one thing you may not know about him is that he is lazy he will try to get out of doing jobs homework "things that are hard" as he says. We have started a new system of jobs every one of the kids rotate doing different jobs each week. They all were excited about this if they all get their jobs done we will do fun activities. Well Matt saw Braden cleaning the bathroom with out a fuss and took a photo. Now we know he can do it. So the "it is to hard" thing won't work anymore.

BYU basketball game

What a fun event we took all the boys with some of their cousins to a BYU game. We sat almost at the very top. Matt and I Had some Air heads to share with the boys but they were gone about half way through the 1st half. Matt got popcorn to get them through the 2nd. It was fun to see the boy cheering for the cougars. Connor and his cousin McKay were climbing over chairs going from row to row but had a great time. We meet Grandma and Grandpa after the game the boys were happy to see them. And to end the night off we got hamburger and played video games at Fuddruckers.

Building a Snow Fort with Dad

Matt and the kids went out on the 2nd Saturday in January to build a snow fort. We had a big hill on the side of our home where the snow plow left a big pile. He spent about 4 hr out in the snow digging and began to accumulating kids in the neighbor hood to help. By the time they were done the fort had 3 entrances and could hold 6 boys in it. It was named the Cougar Den because all the little boys were pretending to be cougars climbing on the hill and going in to the fort.

Cousin's came to play

The kids had a fun day playing with their cousins who live in the mountains. We had not seen them for a long time but it was a if they were hear yesterday. They played the Wii and ran around the house with light savers. It was as if our home was the battle ground. I love all my little boys and their imaginary play.

A few weeks later Grandma Pam came with the boys and we had lunch together. The kids started playing right where they left off. We love our grandma she is so fun. Our cousins from the mountains are so cool!!

Shaylee and I took Braden Skiing for the first time. He did so good. At first he said "this is to hard" and by the end of the trip he said "When can we go again mom " I hope to go a few more times this year!

Christmas Day 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas day we spent the day at home. The big hit this year was the Wii. It was so fun to have all our Grandparents come and Uncle Jimmy, we can always depend on him to play with the kids. He gave Shaylee a body art kit and she drew a pitcher on TJ's back. O what fun Dart guns can be Santa left one for each of the kids. And they have had so much fun with them.

We had such a fun time with our cousins on Christmas eve Grandma and Grandpa gave all the kids a present. They told some stories about their childhood each family shared a song or told a story. We played "Were the cold wind blows", this was a hit. On the drive home the kids think they saw Rudolf's nose. When we got home they all went strait to bed so Santa could come.

TJ had so much fun but had to sit with dad for a while to stop a bloody nose. One of the hazards of getting so many young boys together.I think some of the adults had as much fun as the kids with the toys.

We went to the north pole to see Santa he told us about the first gift of Christmas. And also told us about the candy cane. How it looks like a Shepperd's cane and how when you turn it upside down it make a J, to remind us that the first Christmas gift was the savior Jesus Christ.

How grateful I am that the lord loves us so much that he sent his son our elder brother hear to pay the price for our sins. He knew that we would make some mistakes along our journey and the only way back would be through the atonement. I know that our father in heaven loves us each and every one. I have felt his mercy and I know that he will led us and guide us in our darkest hours. He has blessed me with a family to help me along my path and children that teach me to love him more every day. How blessed I am to have a husband who has a testimony of the gospel and who loves me and wants us to be happy. I love the Lord and am so grateful to the Anderson Family for taking the time to put together this Tribute to our Savior the music and the photos helped me to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Holliday Fun

Chrismas program's

Well the Holiday's have been busy and I did not have time to post. So I have a lot of events I would like to share so Here we go.

Connor had his Preschool program and he was a Little nerves he called my cell phone the night before and left me a message that said "Mom I am not going to my program their is going to be 100 people there so I wont go Just thought I would tell you . This is Connor" I had to laugh when I got this message But he went to the program and did a great job I was so Pleased with him and how he sung the songs but their was girl song he would not sing and that was OK with me.

TJ on the other hand was so excited to go to his Christmas program. But when we got their he did not want to sit in front with his class so he sat on the side with me. I was OK with it. We had fun, he sat on Santa's lap and ate cookies after. By the end he was so happy to be there.Shaylee and Braden school had a Christmas singing program they both we so cute. I am so grateful to be a mother and that I am able to stay home and be a part of Program and Parties.

Connor and TJ and some of their friends were with me we were going on a bear hunt on the way to my car. The snow was really deep but they loved being the first to make tracks in the snow.Shaylee had her dance performance she is in 2 Classes jazz and sing and dance. She is turning in to a young lady. I can not believe how my little girl is growing up.

Zoo lights

Festival of Trees

We had a good time at the Festival of Trees we got our pitcher with Santa. Connor did not think this was really him "because he has to be at the north pole getting ready for Christmas "he said I love Connor he dose not hide how he feels. So he was not in the photo taken by the festival but grandma got one to prove he was there. T.J. did not want any thing to do with him you can see he was trying to get away but I told him that we ask Santa for what we want for Christmas and he might bring it to us Christmas morning. So he asked Santa for a robot "as big as my Dad". He is our daddy's boy. He would like it if Dad could take him with him were ever he goes. But he gets that can't be done so he want a duplicate.

All Connor wanted to do was stand in a bubble so hear he is. All by him self in a bubble.T.J. wanted to but when they pulled the bubble up he freaked out this was more than he could take.Festival of Trees has become a tradition that we do with Grandma Pam. I have gone for 10 year straight. It helps me to get in the spirit of giving. I love this bond that Pam and I share. I realize how healing this can be for families of children who have spent many days in the hospital and some times don't come home with their child. Two Christmas ago my niece Emily had a bone marrow transplant just before Christmas and a tree was put together in her honer. The person who bought the tree had it deliver to their home. It was left up for Emily to see when she came home in February. The festival is hard thing for them to go to because Emily's family knows many of the children who have passed on. But we are all grateful to the Doctor's and the staff at primary children's hospital that have made it so Emily will be able to spend many Holidays with us. I also have a nephew who had his kidney fail at birth and has had 2 kidney transplants. Jake is still with us blessing the lives of all the people he associates with because of the good care he was given at primary children's.
At the end of our time at the festival Connor got sick. So we high tailed it out of there and headed home. I plan to go again next year.

I just had to share this. My TJ is 3 years old and he had 3 cavities, we went to have them filled a few days ago. He was so cute they gave him the gas to relax him and he was giggling but by the end he started to cry. He was so brave. He didn't like the numb filling so he bit his lip and it really swelled up. I felt so bad for him if I could take the pain away I would have.

An Outing with Grandma Rex

We went to corn belly's with grandma this last Thursday and had a lot of fun. The kids road the cow train and got their faces painted and shot pumpkins and corn out of cannon's. Is was so much fun. Aunt Mikki and her girls came, the kids loved playing with them. The corn maze was fun but Connor got upset at me because I keep making wrong turns.

Connor and Braden had a great fall soccor season. They both are power players on their teams. Braden is fast and good at getting the ball from the other team. We think that Connor is a defensive specialist. He is always stopping the other team from getting goals.

Shaylee and Braden are loving school this year. We just had parent Teacher conferences and their teacher's had lots of good thing to say about them.

Shaylee is very nice to all the kids in her class. She is doing good in math and is very good to turn in all her assignments. We are very happy with her progress. 3rd grade is a bit more demanding than 2nd so she is having to learn to better focus.

Braden's is a pleas er he want to do good and wants his teacher to notice. He and his best Little buddy Nate are in the same Class this year which has been fun but Nate some times like to talk to Braden when they are on the carpet ,and Braden dose not want to get in trouble. So he will move so he is not temped to talk. His teacher also said that Braden will be partners with any one in the class and is kind to all the kids. We are working hard on reading with Braden this year he is doing very well and I am pleased with is progress.

Every day when the kids come home I ask them how their day has gone and Shaylee always has stuff to tell me but Braden just says Great!!! It is nice to have Such happy children in our home.
